This 1 on 1 course provides clarity and intention when it comes to shorter to mid length hairstyles that are both barbershop and salon friendly. The industry is changing and barbers and stylist must be proficient at both fading and longer looks. The barber industry is now taking theory and shear work seriously because there’s no excuses anymore. The demand to be well rounded is inevitable and we must be proficient in all cutting techniques as professionals. Plus it’s just fun. Constantly educating oneself gives fuel to the fire of creativity and the possibilities become endless.
who i am
Salty Barber Co. is a small company. This started as a dream back in 2016. The barber / hair stylist education space is lacking in the United States. I am here to provide more for the individual seeking higher education in the barber industry. Specifically in the area of shear cutting so that you have confidence no matter what length haircut and style your client desires.

Our founder, Forest Davis, is a master at his craft. He is passionate about creating shape, teaching his students about the “why” behind what they are doing, providing quality styling products, and creating a sacred space in which his clients can enjoy their hair experience on the outer banks of North Carolina.
